February 16, 2006 -- Hana Ginzbarg: Creation of Armand Bayou, Russ Pittman Park and the Nature Discovery Center- an incredible story of perseverance against great odds.


March 17 -- Ed Adams, Volunteer at Armand Bayou Nature Center: Edible Wild Plants- edible samples including sugared violets, dandelion tea, persimmon biscuits and more! Yum!

 

April 20 -- Paul Roling, Volunteer at Jesse Jones Park: Tiny and Unusual Flowers of the Big Thicket

 

May 18 -- Candice Donahue, Armand Bayou Nature Center: Restoring an Invaded Prairie; The Effects of Chinese Tallow Mulch on Chinese Tallow Growth.


June 15 -- Bob Stokes, The Galveston Bay Foundation: Bob will give a presentation on their efforts to restore Galveston Bay habitats.

July 20 -- Mark Klym, Texas Parks & Wildlife: Hummingbird Invasions -- Preparing for the Onslaught!

August 17 -- Ruth Milburn: Fall Wildflowers

Saturday, September 9 -- Annual Wildscapes Workshop and Native Plant Sale at U of H, Central Campus

September 21 -- Glenn Olsen: Native Vines of the Upper Texas Coast

October 19-- Jim Baker: Pressing Flowers for Display

November: Annual Plant Swap and Seed Swap

December 14, 7 pm, Holiday Dinner at Kim Son, Jefferson Street
