Joe Blanton, Naturalist with the Houston Arboretum
and Nature Center www.houstonarboretum.org,
will give an overview of their planned study, which will
remove invasive privet, then add native plants. They will
compare areas of
the arboretum to see what methods result in the best results.

and a history of Armand Bayou Nature Center and our coastal prairies.

our annual (extremely brief) elections. We will have a quick
discussion about Land Trusts and their importance to preservation of
natural areas around Houston. Bring native plant seeds or native plants,
or simply join us for the celebration; we'll have extra seeds and plants
to share.
