Founder of Weddle Plant Research Laboratories, Palisade, and founder and president of Pan American Seed Company, Paonia, Colorado. Former plant breeder for W. Atlee Burpee Seed Company, Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Honors include 23 All American Selection medals, Distinguished Alumnus award from Texas Tech College of Agriculture, past president and judge for All American Selections Council. Member Sigma Xi, national honorary scientific society.
