The NPSOT awards, presented yearly, acknowledge the achievement of individuals whose work enriches our understanding of native plants. These awards honor excellence in writing, acts of conservation and public service, and lifetime achievement in the field of Texas native plants. More recently, its members (1992) and its chapters (1993) have instituted additional awards to recognize service to and for the Society. These honors are presented at the Awards Banquet during the Annual State Meeting and Fall Symposium each October.
