State Board meetings are held quarterly on the third Saturday of January, April, July, and October.

The January and July meetings are normally held in Fredericksburg at the Gillespie County Historical Society (GCHS) building, 312 W. San Antonio St., which is next door to the NPSOT state office.

The October board meeting is held during the Fall Symposium, and the April meeting preceding it is normally held at the location of the Fall Symposium to give board members a chance to preview the site.

All state officers and chapter leaders are voting members of the State Board and are requested to attend board meetings.  Chapter leaders who cannot attend are requested to send a representative in their place.  Any NPSOT member is welcome to attend the board meetings.

A quorum is required at State Board meetings to conduct NPSOT business.  A quorum, as defined in the bylaws, is composed of five state officers and three chapter leaders.
