Light the Future!   Become a Symposium Sponsor!

The Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT) presents Symposium 2010, an environmental education event, from Oct 7 - 10 at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.  This how-to-do-it symposium delivers the message “$ave Texas One Landscape at a Time: Our Native Plants Light the Future.” Symposium 2010 also celebrates NPSOT’s 30th year anniversary at the site where Carroll Abbott, “Mr. Texas Bluebonnet,” along with sponsoring Texas Woman’s University faculty and others, organized the first gathering of the Native Plant Society of Texas circa 1980.

We invite you to help us establish NPSOT’s Fall Symposia as guiding beacons for the preservation of our state’s rich and diverse native plant community.  Your annual membership renewal and Symposium registration already support our work in native plant appreciation, research and conservation, but this year should be special! We’re celebrating an anniversary, our thirtieth, which will commemorate our progress and achievements with native plants since 1980. So we’re asking you for a special anniversary gift.

We request you become a Symposium 2010 Sponsor by doubling your annual membership donation to light a path to our native plant future.  When you do, we’ll add your name to the list of special Symposium 2010 Sponsors.  Simply renew your NPSOT membership and then contribute an additional matching donation in an amount equal to or greater than the regular annual membership fee.  For example, when a couple or family renews for $40, they also make an additional $40 contribution for a total donation of $80 and become a Symposium 2010 Sponsor.

When you make this special gift, you will continue to receive all the outstanding benefits of your Native Plant Society of Texas membership. Plus, if you act by April 01, 2010, your additional matching donation will qualify you as a Symposium 2010 Sponsor.  We’ll recognize your contributions toward creating sustainable native plant environments in a commemorative Symposium 2010 program. Your demonstration of support will be used to teach others about the use of native grasses, vines, flowers, shrubs and trees to conserve water and save money while increasing wildlife habitats and improving soil, water, and air quality for all Texans

You will honor the Native Plant Society of Texas and our great State with your support of Symposium 2010 when you renew your membership and add an equivalent matching donation.  So please renew by April 1, 2010 and be recognized as a Symposium 2010 Sponsor.

Please don’t miss this opportunity!   Light the Future!  Act now!
