Chris Distel is a Professor of Biology and Field Station Director at Schreiner University. His research and teaching in ecology and conservation span many groups of species, but works most with either ecotoxicology, invasive species effects, or both. He has served as editor for Journal of Herpetology and a board member for the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry South Central Chapter, as well as Riverside Nature Center in Kerrville. Chris loves teaching through research. He lives in Kerrville with his amazing wife Sarah and their three intrepid children.
