Bring your wish lists—because we know more native plants are always at the top! \n\n\n\n🚗 Valet parking will be available for $5. From April 24–27\, 2026\, San Antonio will join cities around the globe in a wild celebration of biodiversity\, curiosity\, and community science. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCity Nature Challenge is a fun\, competitive way to see which city can make the most observations of local flora and fauna during the City Nature Challenge\, April 24-27\, 2026. \n\n\n\nThe City Nature Challenge began in 2016 as a friendly rivalry between San Francisco and Los Angeles. That first year\, LA took the win with 10\,352 observations\, 1\,601 species\, and 574 participants. Since then\, the challenge has blossomed into a global movement — with cities from every continent documenting the wild life that lives alongside us. \n\n\n\n🌼 Why It Matters \n\n\n\nEvery observation helps scientists understand and protect our ecosystems. It’s also a chance to slow down\, reconnect\, and remember that we are part of nature — not separate from it. \n\n\n\nLet’s show the world what San Antonio’s wild heart looks like. Let’s walk gently\, notice deeply\, and upload with joy. \n\n\n\nJoin the iNaturalist Project here!
