NOTE: The content is specific to the San Antonio area. \n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\n\nIn Person at Confluence Park – 310 W Mitchell Street\, SATX 78204 \n\n\n\nClass Outline:Native Landscapes for Birds is a companion class to the Native Landscape Certification Program (NLCP). \n\n\n\nIn the class you will: \n\n\n\n\nLearn about the importance of birds and Texas’ role in bird migration\n\n\n\nIdentify threats to birds and steps to reduce them\n\n\n\nUnderstand the relationship between birds and native plants\n\n\n\nCreate and maintain bird-friendly native plant landscapes\n\n\n\nBecome familiar with up to 50 native Texas plants that benefit your local birds\n\n\n\n\nThere is no prerequisite for this class. \n\n\n\nNative Landscape Certification Program (NLCP) \n\n\n\nThe Native Landscape Certification Program (NLCP) is a four-level certification program that teaches the value of including and preserving native plants in landscapes.
