Their gardens use Texas indigenous plants to provide wildlife habitat for pollinators and birds\, incorporate perennial food crops for human consumption\, and involve mechanisms to harvest rainwater to capture it into the soil before it runs off\, becomes polluted\, and contributes to flooding.
