Moczygemba Rewild Ranch – Our Prairie Restoration Journey
This presentation details a journey in restoring Texas’ tallgrass prairie, from understanding the issue to removing invasive species, preparing the land, and planting native grasses. Despite challenges, the presentation demonstrates success with increased bird activity, concluding with cost insights and future maintenance plans.

The restoration was planted on February 14, 2024 after over two years of site prep which consisted of root plowing mesquite, multiple disking, and four rounds of spraying.
The first photo was taken January 27, 2024 just prior to our last spraying.
The second photo was taken April 22, 2024 just over 2 months after planting.
The third photo was taken one year later on April 28, 2025, 14 months after planting.
