January Trinity Forks Business Meeting & Program – Garden Design Principles Using Native Prairie Plants

January 25 @ 6:30 pm 8:30 pm

The January meeting will be broadcast only via Zoom (see Zoom Sign-up link below)

Learn Garden Design Principles Using Native Prairie Plants, in a one hour online seminar presented by Neil Diboll, native plant industry pioneer and internationally recognized native plant ecologist.

Open to the public.

Our beautiful, hardy prairie flowers and grasses provide year round interest as well as an excellent habitat for birds, butterflies, and a wide variety of pollinators. When designed and maintained properly, prairie gardens and meadows are low maintenance, and require little or no fertilizers, pesticides, or irrigation once established. Neil will share his 45 years of experience in planning, designing, and maintaining prairie gardens and meadows so you can apply these principles when establishing a more diverse, ecologically beneficial native landscape on your property.

Neil is a pioneer in the native plant industry and recognized internationally as an expert in native plant ecology, has dedicated his life to the propagation of native plants, promoting their benefits and furthering their use in gardens, landscapes, and restoration projects. His work emphasizes aesthetics, sustainability, and ecological compatibility with the land. The essence of Neil’s philosophy is that we, as stewards of the planet, must work to preserve and increase the diversity of native plants and animals, with which we share our world. The protection of our natural heritage and our soil and water resources is essential to maintaining a high quality of life for today, and for future generations to come. In 2013 Neil was the recipient of the Great American Gardeners Award from the American Horticultural Society. In 2023, Neil, along with Hillary Cox, published “The Gardener’s Guide to Prairie Plants”, a one-stop compendium for all gardeners aspiring to use native prairie plants in their gardens.

Attendees will find Neil to be an enthusiastic speaker who willingly shares his proven methods and processes for success when working with drought tolerant native prairie plants in your garden.
