Texas Tough Natives for Droughts and Floods – June 19

June 19, 2023 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

The Dallas chapter welcomes you to join us virtually for Carol Clark’s presentation, “Texas Tough Natives for Droughts and Floods.”

Texas weather is notorious for changing rapidly and going to extremes. What’s your best bet for a home landscape that can withstand those extremes? Resilient Texas native plants that are already adapted to Texas’ extremes can help keep your yard looking great–whatever the forecast says.

Speaker: Carol Clark is an amateur botany enthusiast, a Monarch Conservation Specialist for Monarch Watch, a Texas Master Naturalist, and longtime member of the Native Plant Society of Texas. She and her husband own and operate Clark Haven, a wildlife preserve and custom wildflower seed business in Cooke County. Her favorite things to do are leading discovery walks in local natural areas, and finding and photographing interesting plants.

We’ll start with social time at 6ish and announcements and presentation at 7PM.
