Comments
Blooms June-November. A subshrub with grayish-green foliage; pink, orange or red flowers and the stems covered in short scruffy hairs. Because of the gray color and the velvety feel of its leaves, this plant is considered deer resistant, but some herds will eat it. New blossoms may appear on this perennial high or low on the stem, with cup shaped flowers, spring to fall, whenever sufficient rains occur. Sometimes forms loose colonies. Of special importance to native bees. Butterflies are attracted to the flowers.
