Theresa Kay Thomas will be nominated to become Vice President – Administration of the Native Plant Society of Texas at the Annual Meeting in Texarkana on October 18.
She was selected by the Nominations Committee as the best-qualified candidate for the position. She has been an active member of the North Central Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas since 2010. She served as Secretary for 2010 through 2012, and has been the Chapter President since February 2013.
In addition to her experience with the Society, Theresa is a Master Gardener. She co-coordinates a Master Gardener Environmental Garden that the North Central Chapter supports at the SouthWest Fort Worth Hulen Library.
She is a retired medical microbiologist by profession and lives in Haltom City with her husband and Scottish Terriers.
