Our next Austin Chapter meeting will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 7pm with a social half-hour starting at 6:30PM.
Mycology 101 in Central Texas
Join us to discover fungi’s role in ecosystems and four ways to upcycle mushroom blocks: nourishing plants and wildlife, building water-efficient, fungal-rich soil, and remediating contaminated sites. This class will equip you with practical skills to promote sustainability, improve soil health, and up-cycle mushroom blocks.

Kathleen Walsh is a Central Texas–based mycophile with a passion for building community through education and empowerment. She believes mushrooms offer powerful healing properties for the mind and body and loves sharing that knowledge in a fun and accessible way.
Join us for our monthly Chapter Meeting, 4th Tuesday of almost every month at 7PM (with social time at 6:30PM). We will have a table with seeds to swap. Bring some seeds to share. You are also welcome to bring food or drink to share.
DIFFERENT location than usual: 7405 Twilight Shadow Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
The meeting has a Zoom hybrid option as well. To attend online, you must register for the Zoom meeting.
Please note that there is no Austin Chapter meeting in April due to the NPSOT Austin Chapter’s Spring Native Plant Sale on April 26 at 11AM-3PM.
