Fall 2019 plant sales

**ARCHIVED POST **

Fall is the best time to plant just about anything in Texas.

Trees, shrubs, and perennials are best planted in fall so they grow through our mild winters and are more established when hot summer weather arrives. Plant roots grow whenever the temperature is roughly above 40 degrees. The ground doesn’t freeze in our area so the roots should be fine.

Unfortunately it’s not as easy to find native plants in the fall as in spring. Here are a few sales we know of. We’ll add to this list as we learn about more.
