Maintenance

Low maintenance, disease free, and deer resistant. Divide to keep under control. Quite hardy and tolerant of cold temperatures to below 0° F. This is a good ornamental shade grass. This plant grows naturally in dry rocky limestone soils in open woods, grasslands and shaded slopes. Propagation: Root division. Seed.

Comments

Cutgrass forms large colonies by spreading through stolons. The foliage is a light lime green and has a soft texture. The erect and delicately branched inflorescences risie above the foliage year-round, with panicles of small spikelets. Seeds attract birds and small mammals.
