Maintenance

It is a good choice for small yards and it makes a nice mass effect when planted in groups. No maintenance required, however, raking out the old growth every 2 years helps stimulate new growth. Native habitat, rocky slopes in the Trans-Pecos mountains at elevations 5,000-7,000 feet. Rare in the wild, but available in some nurseries and NPSOT plant sales. Propagation: Seed.

Comments

Pine Muhly is an attractive, small, drought tolerant grass. The stiff slightly upright leaves gives the plant a tidy, formal and soft appearance.
