Here is a list of all the native plant sales we know about that are happening this spring. If we learn of more we’ll be adding them to the list. So check back later. Native plant sales can be a good source for hard-to-find plants that are known to work in a specific ecoregion.
- March 30, Burnet – Our Highland Lakes Chapter will have natives for sale at the Hill Country Lawn & Gardens Show.
- April 4, Crocket – The Tyler Chapter will hold a native plant sale at the First Methodist Church Family Life Center following a presentation by Greg Grant at the Crocket Garden Club 5-6.
- April 6, Nacogdoches – Pineywoods Native Plant Center 9-2.
- April 6, San Marcos – San Marcos Discovery Center will have a native plant sale and Sustainability Fair 9-2.
- April 12-13, Austin – Spring Plant Sale, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
- April 12-14 Dallas – Butterfly Plant Sale, Texas Discovery Gardens 10-2.
- April 12-14, McKinney – Heard Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s Spring Plant Sale, one of the largest and best native plant sales in the state.
- April 13, Flower Mound – Plant sale cancelled due to weather. See entry for April 27.
- April 13, Weatherford – Weatherford Blooms Festival was cancelled.
- April 13-14, New Braunfels – Native plants will be available for sale at FolkFest 11-5.
- April 13, Stephenville – Native & Heirloom Plant Sale, Stephenville Museum. Several vendors will have plants for sale 9-3
- April 20, Canyon Lake – Earth Day event at Tye Preston Memorial Library, native plants will be for sale.
- April 20, Cedar Hill – Native Plant Workshop & Sale hosted by Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center, 10-2.
- April 20, Glen Rose – Prairie Rose Chapter plant sale, details to be determined.
- April 20, Kerrville – Native Plant Sale & Festival, Riverside Nature Center 9-2.
- April 20, Houston – Earth Day Celebration and Plant Sale, Houston Arboretum 10-2.
- April 20, Weatherford – Our Cross Timbers Chapter will have a booth selling plants 10-2 at Peacock’s Feed & Supply at 122 W. Water, near the railroad track off Hwy 51.
- April 27, Amarillo – Amarillo Botanical Gardenfest 9-2.
- April 27, Dallas – The Dallas Chapter will have its native plant sale at the Midway Hills Christian Church 9-12.
- April 27, Flower Mound – our Trinity Forks Chapter will sell native plants at Flower Mound High School 10-1. The school is located at 3411 Peters Colony Road.
- April 27, Longview – Our Northeast Chapter is sponsoring a native plant sale in the parking lot of Jakes Feed Store, 8-1.
- April 27, San Antonio – Bexar Roots Plant Sale at Phil Hardberger Park (East) 9-12.
- April 27, Seguin – Earth Day Festival. Guadelupe Chapter will sell plants at the festival 10-3.
- April 27, Wimberley – Our Hill Country Chapter will sell natives at the Emily Ann Butterfly Festival 8-5.
- May 4, Alpine – Spring Plant Sale 9-1.
- May 4, Arlington – Spring Plant Sale at River Legacy Park 10-2.
- May 4, Boerne – Mostly Native Plant Sale sponsored by Cibolo Nature Center, Kendall County Fairgrounds 9-3.
