A Montgomery City resident since 2010, Amy Birdwell joined the Society in 2022 to connect with other native plant champions. She has tended flower and/or vegetable gardens of varying size for most her adult life. Her current project is tending her two-acre property just south of Conroe – systematically removing invasives and cultivating natives. Amy has been an active volunteer in the Pines and Prairies chapter over the past 2 years, chairing the Plant Sale, tabling at outreach events, and tending demonstration gardens. She is also a member of the NPSOT State Executive Committee as VP Education, primarily leading the Academic Grants and Scholarships Committee.
