NICE Native Plants

Native Plants for North Texas

Texas is a large, diverse state, and plants that work for one region may not always be the best choice in a different region. NICE (Natives Improve & Conserve Environments) is a collaboration between the Native Plant Society of Texas and local nurseries to offer natives that are right for our North Texas environment. See our listing of Metroplex nurseries participating in the NICE program.

A hearty thank you to the Trinity Forks Chapter for developing the NICE native plant summaries. Look for the “NICE Plant of the Season” signs and information sheets on your next visit to a participating North Texas nursery. See below for the listing of NICE native plants categorized by plant type.
