Cross Timbers Trailhead

If you go to the left–Equestrian Trail: Experience this 6.5-mile out-and-back trail near Flower Mound, Texas. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 hours to complete. This trail is great for hiking and horseback riding, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

If you go right–a wildflower trail: This trail connects to another park farther south on 377 for a 5 mile walk.

Terrain is up and down, rocky in places, with the best wildflowers on the first part of the trail, to Inspiration Point, a bench on a hilltop with a view of Grapevine Lake. This is trail is about a 45 minute walk.  Birds, butterflies, and more:  Paradise.
