Houston Chapter Meeting – June 18

June 18 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Texas Natives – Why Bonsai? Why Not? with Gale Childers

In this presentation, Gale Childers will discuss how bonsai promotes conservation and genetic diversity within the native plant population. Gale is the Treasurer of the Houston Bonsai Society and has been a practicing Bonsai Artist for 10 years. She has been instructing and mentoring bonsai practitioners for six years. In 2025, she won Best Windswept at the Bonsai on The Bay Regional Show for her Mimosa borealis bonsai. Join us in learning how bonsai can benefit native plants!

Our monthly chapter meetings are held on every 3rd Thursday, January – November. Our meetings are free and open to the public thanks to our members and sponsors.

The presentation will start at 7:00 pm, but come at 6:45 pm for a meet and greet with snacks.
