Registration is open for the Austin Chapter’s Native Landscape Certification Program (NLCP) Level 1 class on October 18 and 19. Learn about the benefits of native plants, desirable plants for your area and design considerations for your landscape. NLCP is a state-wide program, but classes focus on the characteristics and plants in the region in which they are taught. The content is specific to the greater-Austin area. NOTE: This class involves a Zoom presentation and in-person plant walk over 2 days.

Date and Time
- October 18: 12 noon-4:15 pm: Presentations via Zoom (join early for a Noon start time)
- October 19: 9-11 am: Plant Walk at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center – 4801 La Crosse Ave, Austin, TX 78739
- Optional Online Test: After completing the class, you will be sent a link to the test which you will have 3 days to complete.
Plant Walk Details
- The Wildflower Center recommends allowing 30 minutes for parking and check-in.
- The NLCP class will meet by the admission kiosk. Class registrants will not be charged an admission fee to the Wildflower Center.
