Much of our chapter’s activities involve increasing and nurturing existing native pollinator-friendly plants in our local ecosystem. These plants are critical in the lifecycles of butterflies, other insects, and fauna. Milkweeds play a crucial role in the Monarch Butterfly’s life, and this amazing creature has been challenged by the deterioration of milkweed’s habitat. We are involved in helping non-profits setup pollinator gardens, volunteering at Monarch waystations, and a host of other activities.
